Guest Post: The Sober Curator

Connection, not Addiction 💖💖

I love how when you become entrenched in your purpose and live on your own terms, the universe sends you exactly what you need.

My journey to living alcohol-free has been incredible, and I've met many inspiring people along the way.

Two women I've met recently are making a huge impact in raising awareness and supporting people to live alcohol-free.

The first is Susie Streelman, the Founder of Zero Proof Experiences. Susie lives in California, runs an event called Sober in the City, And has a membership experience, 'Zero Proof Passport', where members get insider discounts, early access pricing, and VIP experience access at their events.

When I was in California for Easter last month, Susie and I arranged a lunch date for our first meetup IRL. Well, as it so often happens in the sobriety world, our connection was so strong that it turned into a magical 3-hour experience full of laughter, friendship, and vulnerability. 💞

Then, On a recent 'thought leader' Zoom call through my 'Zero Proof Passport Holder' membership, I met the second incredible woman - sober influencer Alysse Bryson, and we immediately connected!

Alysse has been sober for 17 years, and in 2020, she created The Sober Curator, which is an incredible resource for those seeking content related to recovery or a zero-proof lifestyle! 🤩🚫🍷

During a chat, I mentioned to Alysse some great ideas about how to enjoy a sober Cinco de Mayo holiday here in Phoenix, Arizona. Well, Alysse loved my ideas and asked if I'd write something up as a guest contributor on The Sober Curator. I jumped at the chance!

Check out my guest article on The Sober Curator!

‘How to Have a Sober Cinco De Mayo in Phoenix, AZ! 🌵🚫🥃

It's full of great ideas, plus a link for how to make homemade Agua Frescas.😋🍹

I hope you enjoy the article – let me know what you liked the most or if there's anything else you'd like to hear about!

The Sober Curator is run entirely by volunteers to provide entertaining and informative content (in a fun and relaxed way) to people seeking an alcohol-free lifestyle. You'll find guest articles (like mine!) that show you how to keep the joy and fun in your life while exploring sobriety.

It's a great online resource and is well worth checking out. So, after you've read my article, stay on their site and have a look around. You're sure to find something you like.

Connections are made so easily and beautifully when you're right where you need to be!

Through Susie's Zero Proof Experiences, I've discovered a beautiful friendship with Alysse. She's an amazing role model with a heck of a milestone – 17 years sober! 🎉🎊 👏🙌

Curious about Susie from Zero Proof Experiences?

You can learn more about Susie and Zero Proof Experiences in an upcoming article, but for now, head to her website and check out the Sober in the City events and all her other offerings.
